About Us
We've turned this town upsidedown to plan the best 2009 Forest Service Reunion in history. The planning committee is comprised of a diverse group of volunteers. Some are former Forest Service employees while others are spouses, all eager to lend a hand to do what it takes to get it done. Meeting every other week at the Missoula Public Library, we are from all walks of life, young and old, planning an event for attendees across the nation. Let us hear from you on any improvements we can make.
WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR
With each new generation, it seems things are always changing, especially in the fields of communication and technology.
This is the first year that a volunteer group was able to provide an exclusive Web site solely for the purpose of communicating, promoting and educating participates on reunion activities. Fortunately, staying ahead of the power curve helps us to improve our customer service.
Another new feature added this year is the ability to accept credit card payments on-line and over the phone. Our financial partner, Bitter Root RC & D, will handle the registrations, tours, refunds and sales for the event.- The steering committee and cosponsors are making a concerted effort to invite, reach out and encourage current forest service employees nationwide to attend. Historically speaking, the conference was pioneered and tailor-made for retired employees and their families. We recognize that the cultural climate and changing times directs inclusion for people passionate about preserving our natual resources and overseeing land management.
HISTORICAL REUNION EVENTS
Although the Forest Service retirees have hosted numerous events over the years, the events were scheduled randomly in various cities according to the availability of funds and volunteers that could make it happen. Do you remember when the reunions took place? If so, contact me.
